Divertissement
This is one of my favorite daylily forms, called a “Spider”. Spider-form daylilies have long petals that don’t usually overlap. They are quite striking in the garden, standing out from most of the other flower.

Hover Fly
This is a hover Fly, hanging out on some Queen Anne’s Lace. I don’t think they sting, though one still has the impulse to wave it away if it flies near.
